Application procedure

  • Fill the joints completely with a trowel or a rubber float, making sure the joint are completely compacted.
  • Remove the excess grout from the surface, while still fresh.

Finishing

  • When the mixture losses its plasticity and become matt clean excess grout with a damp, hard sponge. Rinse the sponge frequently using two separate buckets of water.
  • If cleaning is carried out too early the grout may be dragged from the joint leading to colour variation. On the other hand if grout has already hardened, it is necessary to clean the surface mechanically, which could scratch the surface of the tiles.

Preparing the joints

  • Before grouting wait until the adhesive has completely hardened.
  • The joints must be clean, free of dust. Excess adhesive or mortar should be removed whilst still fresh.
  • Wet the joints when using very porous ceramic tiles in high temperatures.

Preparing the mix

  • Pour the material into clean water and mix with a low speed mixer to avoid air entrapment, producing a smooth consistency mix.  Attention! Additional water will make your mixture sloppy and may cause negative results on final strength. Wait for about 5 minutes and re-stir before use.
  • Use the mixture when is still fresh. Do not leave the mix unmixed for a long time.
  • Do not mix with water or latex additive when the mixture starts to set in the bucket. In such case the mix should be dropped.
